St. Louis SHS Students Donate To Children Hospital In Kumasi

The Students Representative Council of St. Louis Senior High School in Kumasi, one of the renounced Catholic Girls’ Schools in Ghana has made a donation worth One-Thousand Five Hundred Ghana cedis to the inmate at Children’s Hospital in Kumasi.

The donation was part of the SRC Week celebration and some of the items presented were; beverages, biscuits, soaps, drinks and other provisions.

Speaking to the press after the presentation, Miss Magnita Tuona, SRC President of St. Louis Senior High School stated that the donation was to show their love for kids and also indicate their commitment to support children in their health activities. She explained that the items were collected voluntarily from the students.

She appealed to nursing mothers to pay much attention to the health care of their children since that was the only way their children could become better grown-ups.

The school prefect used the opportunity to appeal to the government and other stake holders in the country to establish more children hospital so that they can attend to the special needs of such children.

Miss Magnita Tuona expressed her gratitude to students who donated for the presentation and also commended the school authority for the support they gave during the one-week SRC Celebration.

Rev. Fr. Henry Mensah, the Chaplain of St. Louis Senior High School, who accompanied the students, commended parents who provided for wards children to be given to the children at the hospital.
